Dr. Max Lyons will present:
How to Really “Make America Great Again:”
Why Education is the Key to Restoring America
On Monday, January 16th in our classroom and live online, 7-9 pm EST
Proverbs 14:34 reminds us that “righteousness exalts a nation.” So how do we become a righteous and therefore great nation again? How do we recover a national righteousness, a “purity of heart and rectitude of life?” Many realize that we must rebuild the foundations, and that of course involves education. Imagine the opportunity that parents have, 18 or so years of what we consider parental training years. With 16 hours of day under our control, this means that we have over 100,000 hours to do as Noah Webster advocated, “enlighten the understanding, correct the temper, and form the manners and habits of youth, and fit them for usefulness in their future stations.” Webster warned, “To give children a good education in manners, arts and science, is important; to give them a religious education is indispensable; and an immense responsibility rests on parents and guardians who neglect these duties.” We must rebuild the Biblical worldview for ourselves, our generation, and most importantly the rising generation.
Max Lyons served as teacher and administrator in three Christian schools since 1979. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Virginia Wesleyan College, a Masters in Christian School Administration from Regent University, and a Ph.D. in Christian Education from Whitefield Theological Seminary. He currently serves as Director of Teaching Services at The Foundation for American Christian Education. He is the author or co-author of five books. Max and his wife Margie have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
