The Foundation for American Christian Education is pleased to announce

a lecture in a series of Lessons in Liberty

Dr. Max Lyons will present:

How to Really “Make America Great Again:”

Why Education is the Key to Restoring America

On Monday, January 16th in our classroom and live online, 7-9 pm EST

Proverbs 14:34 reminds us that “righteousness exalts a nation.” So how do we become a righteous and therefore great nation again? How do we recover a national righteousness, a “purity of heart and rectitude of life?” Many realize that we must rebuild the foundations, and that of course involves education. Imagine the opportunity that parents have, 18 or so years of what we consider parental training years. With 16 hours of day under our control, this means that we have over 100,000 hours to do as Noah Webster advocated, “enlighten the understanding, correct the temper, and form the manners and habits of youth, and fit them for usefulness in their future stations.” Webster warned, “To give children a good education in manners, arts and science, is important; to give them a religious education is indispensable; and an immense responsibility rests on parents and guardians who neglect these duties.” We must rebuild the Biblical worldview for ourselves, our generation, and most importantly the rising generation.
Max Lyons served as teacher and administrator in three Christian schools since 1979. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Virginia Wesleyan College, a Masters in Christian School Administration from Regent University, and a Ph.D. in Christian Education from Whitefield Theological Seminary. He currently serves as Director of Teaching Services at The Foundation for American Christian Education. He is the author or co-author of five books. Max and his wife Margie have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
To register, go to FACE.net/LessonsInLiberty. A charge of $10 (individual or family) includes the live presentation, video-recorded session and handouts.

NOTE:  THIS IS A PAID EVENT and you receive a DISCOUNT for early registration

Saturday, February 25th, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Old Bag of Nails Westerville
24 N State St.

Westerville, OH 43081

From the event sponsors:

The purpose of this event is to help you understand how the political process REALLY works, because when you understand how the political process works, you can make it work to advance the issues and causes you believe in that will restore America to its small-government, constitutional roots.

This intensive 1-day training will teach you how to turn your conviction and passion into effective political action.
You will learn:

• The REAL nature of politics and politicians and why just educating people alone won’t result in the political change you want

• Why small groups of dedicated activists can and do win

• Why you will never be politically respected until you are politically feared and how to build a group that is feared by politicians on the wrong side of your issue

• You’ll learn the greatest lie ever told in politics and how the political class uses that lie and your convictions against you

• How to pick a good political fight

• How to put together a legislative project, get a bill sponsor, and force a roll call vote despite opposition from the leadership.

• How to hold politicians accountable for their actions (or lack of action).

In a nutshell, you’ll learn why you’ve been losing and how to start winning.

The Foundation’s Trainers aren’t pointed-headed intellectuals and policy wonks. Our schools are taught by people who have been putting these principles to work in the political trenches and have the scars and stories to show you how to use the tools, tactics and strategies we teach to win for liberty.

Seating is limited. Registration is $50 ($30 for students) ($40 for early bird) and includes lunch.

Dr. Del Tackett, host of Focus on the Family’s The Truth Project, is assisted by guest experts Lee Strobel, Gary Habermas, and others. Together they intelligently explore Jesus’s ancestry and prophetic mission; His words, works, and character; His death and resurrection; whether Jesus is the only way to God; and more.

Session Topics:

1: The Question
2: The Promise
3: The Prophecy
4: His Life
5: The Death
6: The Resurrection
7: The “God” Claim, Part 1
8: The “God” Claim, Part 2
9: Is Jesus the Only Way?
10: Handling the Questions

About the Series:

Why are so many Christian teens walking away from their faith during the college years? Focus on the Family’s TrueU video curriculum offers an introduction to apologetics (a defense of belief in God) that aims to help reverse this trend. Featuring Christian worldview experts like Dr. Del Tackett, Dr. Stephen Meyer, Lee Strobel, Dr. Gary Habermas, and more – the series equips students to stand up for their beliefs in the face of a culture that tells them their faith is absurd, obsolete, and impractical.

TrueU is a valuable resource for youth groups, college campus clubs, Sunday School classes, home-based small groups, homeschools, and individuals who want to strengthen their faith. The series consists of three sets of videos and study guides: 01: Does God Exist?”, 02: Is the Bible Reliable?, and 03: Who is Jesus?.

EVENT – 11/1-2/16 Frank Turek

Dr.Frank Turek

Ohio State University (Columbus, OH)

November 1-2, 2016,

Time: 7:30pm-9:00pm(ET)
Address: OSU Ohio Union, 1739 N High Street, Columbus, OH

Ratio Christi Student Apologetics Alliance at The Ohio State University along with the help of Awaken Church on campus is hosting an event. Dr. Frank Turek, author of I Don’t Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist, and the newest book Stealing from God: Why Atheists Need God to Make Their Case, will be speaking at The Ohio State University. Dr. Turek is president of Cross Examined and has debated well known atheists Michael Shermer, David Silverman, and the late Christopher Hitchens.

He has been to the campus before and this event always draws alot of interest. The event is free and open to the public. Dr. Turek will be doing material from his latest book Stealing from God: Why Atheists Need to Make Their Case. He will be showing why many people are borrowing from a theistic worldview on a daily basis. He will be here two nights, Nov 1st, and 2nd, 2016 (two nights). Invite a friend!

Additional Info:

If you think atheists have reason, evidence, and science on their side, think again! Award-winning author Dr. Frank Turek (I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist) will show you how atheists steal reason, evidence, science, and other arguments from God in trying to make their case for atheism. If that sounds contradictory, it’s because it is! Atheists can’t make their case without appealing to realities only theism can explain. In an engaging and memorable way, Dr. Turek will expose these intellectual crimes atheists are committing and then provides four powerful reasons for why Christianity is true.

There will be time for Q&A at the end of the presentation.

The event will take place each evening in the Great Hall Meeting Room in the Ohio Union from 7:30pm-9:00pm(ET). It will be a 2-part presentation.
